Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Bookkeeper to join our team in Nairobi County. As a Tax Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the tax compliance process. Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct bookkeeping tasks such as recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial data efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and record journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) working as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
